Common questions

How do I add a snippet?

Click + at the bottom of the dock and choose New snippet. Give it a short name for the dock and paste or type the text it should copy. The same + adds folders, apps and sections.

Where is the menu?

Click the ClipBasin logo at the top of the dock, or right-click the ClipBasin icon in the system tray.

How do I move the dock to another edge or monitor?

Drag the dock where you want it, or open the menu and choose Dock & window, then Position.

A window covers the dock, or the dock covers a window

Open the menu, choose Dock & window, and turn on Keep windows off the dock. Windows that are maximized or snapped to that edge then stop at the dock. Keep on top of other windows, in the same menu, keeps the dock above everything else.

Recent clips is empty

Recent clips shows the Windows clipboard history. Turn it on in Windows Settings, under System, then Clipboard, then Clipboard history (or press Win+V once). In ClipBasin, open the menu and check that Recent clips (Win+V) is shown.

How do I use the same snippets on more than one PC?

On each PC, open the menu, choose Settings, then Sync & backup, and choose the same folder in OneDrive (or any folder that syncs). Changes show up on the other PCs within a few seconds. Each PC keeps its own copy, so ClipBasin still works offline.

How do I back up my snippets?

Open the menu, choose Settings, then Sync & backup, and choose Export everything. Import brings a backup back, either adding its snippets to yours or replacing everything.

How do I buy ClipBasin, or get a refund?

ClipBasin is sold through the Microsoft Store: $15 once, after a 15-day free trial. Microsoft handles the purchase and refunds. To ask for a refund, use your order history in your Microsoft account.

How do I uninstall ClipBasin?

Open Windows Settings, then Apps, then Installed apps, find ClipBasin and choose Uninstall. If you might come back to it, export your snippets first.
